Framed

Edam B. Jons, lost in a swirl of sylphs and secrets, tumbles into a tornado of trouble!

Former ballerina and now professor Edie returns from a research trip to the Art Institute of Chicago to find her beloved Performing Arts program at Pine Hills College on the verge of collapse. As her friends, Pax and Violet, fight to secure funding, Edie's research into Degas and the Romantic Ballet unearths a sinister plot that threatens to shake the foundations of both the art and ballet worlds. Now, Edie must trade her academic pursuits for a dangerous investigation, forcing her to confront the delicate balance between grace and grit, both on stage and off.

Can Edam B. Jons channel her inner Double O detective skills or will curiosity create her downfall?

My time as a sylph on stage was a journey to another realm, a chance to embody something mythical and magical. Being onstage went beyond technique to creating a magical world and an experience of wonder. These performances were the initial inspiration for Framed, a story that looks beyond the familiar image of tutus and pointe shoes—because there's definitely more to ballerinas, both then and now,  than meets the eye. Framed delves into the early romantic ballet dancers as well as the current dilemmas of the performing arts all delivered with a light touch and a sense of humor.
